Saturday, December 7th from 10am-4pm
 
• Upcycling is when we reuse old or discarded objects/materials to create something new with them. The old items get upgraded to something with new purpose and value. Why is this important? The act of reusing what we've got means there's less trash, less overconsumption, and we keep stuff out of the landfills. So, if you're into sustainability, and also into being creative, upcycling gifts with us at our Thrifty Gifting workshop might be just the thing for you.
• Even though we're using repurposed materials, these projects are not kid crafts. We're taking a more sophisticated approach to upcycling, so you can expect some stylish and polished items worthy of gifting to your loved ones (or keep for yourself!).• And no worries if you're expecting a busy weekend holiday shopping - you can join any time from 10am-4pm, whenever it works for you.
Projects:
- Stamped Coasters or Ornaments: using upcycled mason jar lids
- Christmas Tree Decor: using upcycled cardboard, fabric, and beads
- Potpourri Centerpiece: using upcycled jars, tissue paper, dried natural materials, and essential oils
