Step Inside ArtReach, Our
Mobile
Art Therapy
Studio

4.png

ArtReach was designed with one purpose:
to create a safe, beautiful, accessible space where creativity and healing can meet you exactly where you are.

Every feature inside the bus was chosen intentionally — to support comfort, connection, and therapeutic depth, no matter the season, location, or needs of the people we serve.

Browse the photos and videos below to explore the details that make ArtReach a truly unique and welcoming creative space.

🚐 A Warm, Inviting Space — Anywhere We Go

Climate-Controlled Comfort
ArtReach is fully equipped with heating and air conditioning, ensuring sessions stay cozy in winter and calm in summer. No matter the weather outside, the space inside is peaceful, consistent, and grounding.

Soft, Natural Light with Privacy
Large windows wrap the studio with gentle natural light — and they’re one-way windows, offering privacy and discretion from the outside during the day while keeping the inside bright and open.

Built for True Accessibility

Accessibility is not an add-on — it’s a core part of our mission.

Wheelchair Lift
A fully installed wheelchair lift allows clients using mobility aids to enter the studio with ease and dignity.

Wheelchair-Height Counters
Our custom counters are designed at accessible heights, ensuring that everyone can comfortably make art, participate in therapy, and move freely in the space.

Flexible, Hinged Workspaces
The counters can hinge up or down, creating more room for wheelchairs, group sessions, movement, or sensory-friendly setup.

Dimmable Lighting
Soft, adjustable lighting allows us to tailor the environment for sensory needs, trauma-informed care, and overall comfort — creating a calmer, more supportive space for clients of all ages.

🎨 A Fully Stocked, Beautiful Creative Environment

Art Supply Storage Cabinet
A thoughtfully designed, visually stunning supply cabinet keeps the studio fully stocked with professional-quality materials. Paints, pastels, drawing tools — all neatly organized and ready for use.
Clients of all ages light up when they see it.

Coat Hooks & Clean Organization
Small touches like coat hooks, clean surfaces, warm textures, and intentional layout help the bus feel less like a vehicle and more like a tiny creative sanctuary.

🌿 Sustainability in ArtReach

When possible, we chose to repurpose, reuse, and honor materials with life left in them, creating a studio that is both beautiful and sustainable. This helped us reduce environmental impact while infusing the bus with character, history, and heart.

Reclaimed & Reimagined Elements Include:

  • Repurposed Sink & Vanity – Restored and given a new home to support creative exploration.

  • Reused Flooring – This beautiful flooring was leftover from a previous project and now creates the grounding foundation of our mobile art studio.

  • Upcycled Wood Countertops – Crafted from leftover materials, now transformed into functional, inviting workspaces.

  • Secondhand Art Supplies – Select materials were sourced from a local secondhand craft supply store (EcoWorks Creative Reuse in North Haven, CT), minimizing waste and supporting circular creativity.
